The Concept of Time in Predictions
One of the constant questions that comes up whenever I do a predictive reading for someone is “When?”
People want to know exactly when events are supposed to happen. They want to know the date, time, etc. that something is supposed to occur. Truth is, I doubt there’s anyone out there who can predict that – anyone who isn’t a fraud, that is.
Why? Well, it’s quite simple, and yet very complicated and involved, because it takes being able to step outside of the normal person’s linear thought patterns. You see, most people are conditioned to view time like a straight line, and to say “Okay, now event A is followed by event B, which is followed by event C.”
Truth is, the Universe doesn’t work this way. Even science can’t pin down exact timing for cosmic events. They say “IF this happens, then we should see” or “in approximately (blank) space of time, this event should happen”… If time truly was linear, then they would be able to pinpoint to the nanosecond when the sun is set to go supernova, or when the next comet will impact the Earth.
Much like Universal law (because it’s a direct derivative of that), time is far from linear. In fact, when dealing with future time, you’re entering an entirely mutable realm, where every event is shaped by the outcome of events before it. If I see an event in someone’s future, during a predictive reading, the event is there to say “IF things go this certain way, this is likely to be the outcome.” Alter one detail of the present or any point between the present and that outcome, and it could potentially change the outcome completely.
This is actually part of why I hesitate to do predictive readings, unless I’m sure the client grasps the understanding that this is merely a POSSIBLE outcome, and not set in stone. And, while I may not do a predictive reading until I’m sure a person understands the concept of what the reading actually predicts, I will offer personality readings, which show the client a little of the direction their lives are currently on, and help them examine their current choices with a little better understanding of themselves and their attitudes.
